Vacancy: SEO Specialist

Velocity Media is looking for a SEO Specialist, whose focus will be on enhancing our and our clients’ online presence and visibility. Collaborating closely with the RevOps Content Strategist, you will develop and implement SEO strategies for our own and our clients' websites, articles, and other editorial content. Your expertise will ensure our content ranks well in search engines, drives organic traffic, and achieves our marketing goals. This role demands a blend of creativity and analytical skills. 

 

Non-negotiable requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 to 5 years’ proven experience in SEO, with a track record of improving rankings, traffic, and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods and inbound marketing.
  • Experience with SEO and analytics tools (e.g., SEMrush, Mos, Google Analytics, Search Console).
  • Extensive experience working with Hubspot and/or other CRM and Martech solutions
  • Knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with clients to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to work under pressure, both independently and in a team, and deal with multiple projects simultaneously

Job Description

As a SEO Specialist at Velocity, you will be an essential part of the RevOps team and will focus on the following areas:

 

  • SEO Strategy Development, including crafting and executing comprehensive SEO strategies that complement our content and inbound marketing efforts, conducting keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Optimise website content, including meta tags, headings, images, and internal link structures, to improve search engine rankings and user experience.
  • Work closely with the Content Strategist and Digital Design Specialist to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content creation and digital asset development.
  • Monitor and improve website architecture, perform technical SEO audits, and address crawl errors to enhance website health and performance.
  • Develop and implement effective link-building strategies to increase domain authority and referral traffic.
  • Use Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMRush and other tools to track, analyse, and report on SEO performance. 
  • Provide actionable insights to refine strategies and improve results.
  • Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain effective and compliant.
