Velocity is looking for a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our fast-paced sales team. If you are resilient, goal-oriented, and thrive in high-volume phone-based sales environments, this opportunity is for you.
As an SDR, you’ll be on the front lines of our outbound strategy, primarily focused on cold calling and booking qualified meetings with decision-makers in marketing, sales, IT, and revenue operations roles across our target verticals. You’ll be supported with enriched lead lists, proven scripts, and world-class infrastructure, allowing you to focus on what matters: starting high-quality sales conversations.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Make high-volume cold calls per day to targeted leads
- Book qualified meetings for our Business Development Managers
- Use HubSpot to manage outreach workflows
- Follow scripts and qualifying criteria, but adapt to real-time prospect needs
- Record all activity, outcomes, and notes in HubSpot
- Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and RevOps team to improve outreach messaging
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales with 1+ year of phone-based sales or outbound cold calling experience
- Strong verbal communication and objection-handling skills
- Comfortable working in a high-output, performance-based culture
- Based in South Africa with stable internet
- Bonus: Experience with HubSpot, Apollo, or Sales Navigator
Target Metrics:
- 80 calls per day
- 15–20% connection rate
- 5+ qualified meetings booked per week
